PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The landmarked residential and commercial building in the immediate vicinity of the Charité underwent significant design alterations in the 1990s due to a roof extension. As one of the last buildings within a historic ensemble protection area, a design concept for the entrance areas and staircases was developed in cooperation with the Lower Heritage Authority. This concept meets modern construction requirements while simultaneously respecting and highlighting the building’s original period charm.
